Product description
Giandola Granite comes from Egypt’s Eastern Desert, a region renowned for its high-quality natural stone quarries. This igneous granite features a distinctive brownish-gray color with subtle veining and a medium-fine grain texture, resulting from its mineralogical composition of quartz, feldspar, and mica. Its balanced and timeless appearance makes it a versatile choice for both contemporary and classic architectural projects, bringing warmth and sophistication to any space.
Ideal for high-traffic residential and commercial interior flooring, interior and exterior wall cladding, landscaping, pool edges, and steps. Its Grade A commercial classification guarantees uniformity and quality in every batch. The available finishes—polished, matte, brushed, flamed, bush-hammered, and sandblasted—allow the material to be adapted to different functional and aesthetic needs, from elegant spaces with a polished finish to wet outdoor areas with slip-resistant textures.
Rough finishes such as flamed, bush-hammered, and sandblasted offer an R11-R12 slip-resistant rating, making them safe for wet outdoor areas, pool edges, and high-traffic zones. The polished finish provides a natural luster that enhances the material’s chromatic depth, making it ideal for lobbies, living rooms, and designer commercial spaces. The matte and brushed finishes offer an intermediate texture, combining elegance with practicality for areas with moderate foot traffic.
With a water absorption rate of just 0.09%, Giandola Granite is virtually impermeable, making it highly resistant to liquid penetration, stains, and external agents. Its compressive strength of 215 MPa and Mohs hardness of 6–8 position it as an exceptionally durable material, capable of withstanding the most demanding traffic without compromising its structural integrity. Resistant to frost, chemicals, and abrasion, this granite is a long-term investment that maintains its beauty and functionality in any climate and application, from residential projects to large-scale public infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you buy
No. The brownish gray color of Giandola comes from mineral pigmentation in its crystalline structure, being highly stable to UV rays and does not fade with sun exposure or rain.
For residential areas use 1.8-2 cm. For commercial or high traffic, minimum 2 cm. For exteriors or heavy loads, 3 cm. All formats ≥60×60 cm require 2 or 3 cm.
Yes, Giandola is resistant to frost and chlorinated water. Only use rough finishes (flamed, bush-hammered, sandblasted) with a minimum R11 rating. Polished finish is hazardous in wet areas.
It is not mandatory, but highly recommended. At 0.09% absorption it is very low porosity, but rough unsealed finishes can accumulate stains. A penetrating impregnating sealer prolongs its life.
1.8 cm weighs approximately 47.4 kg/m², 2 cm weighs 52.7 kg/m² and 3 cm weighs 79 kg/m². Always check the bearing capacity of the substrate before installation.
Use flexible adhesive type C2TE S1 or S2 modified with polymers. For large formats (≥40×60 cm) apply the double-gluing method. Always use white or light gray adhesive.
Yes, with a compressive strength of 215 MPa, Mohs hardness 6-8 and absorption of only 0.09%, Giandola is frost resistant according to EN 12371 and suitable for heavy traffic in commercial and public spaces.
Always use pH neutral cleaners (6-8). Polishing: crystallizer every 12-18 months. Matt/Brushed: sealer every 12 months. Rough: sealer every 12 months and periodic degreaser. Never use acids, chlorine or abrasives.
Residential: floors, coverings, stairs. Commercial: lobbies, shopping malls, airports. Exterior: facades, landscaping, pool surrounds. High traffic public infrastructure. Commercial grade A guarantees uniform quality.
