Product description
Hody Pink Granite is an igneous stone of Egyptian origin quarried in the Aswan region, renowned for its distinctive warm pink hue and medium-fine grain texture. Its mineralogical composition of quartz, feldspar, and mica gives it a compact and highly stable crystalline structure, with subtle veining that adds sophistication without detracting from its visual uniformity. This granite combines the chromatic warmth of natural stones with the technical strength characteristic of igneous rocks, making it a versatile solution for high-performance residential and commercial projects.
Ideal for high-traffic interior flooring, facade cladding, commercial spaces, and outdoor landscaping, Rosa Hody adapts to multiple architectural contexts thanks to its wide range of finishes. In a polished finish, it reveals depth and luster for elegant interiors; in matte or brushed finishes, it offers tactile warmth for contemporary spaces; and in textured finishes such as flamed, bush-hammered, or sandblasted, it ensures slip resistance in wet outdoor areas, pool edges, and stairways. Its compatibility with radiant heating systems and its stability against chlorinated water expand its range of applications.
With a water absorption rate of just 0.09%, Rosa Hody is virtually impermeable, giving it natural frost resistance and making it suitable for extreme climates without the risk of freeze-thaw cracking. Its Mohs hardness of 6–7 and compressive strength of 150 MPa allow it to withstand the most demanding foot traffic without visible wear, while its Hardness A of 39.6 ensures long-lasting resistance to abrasion. The R11–R12 slip resistance rating on textured finishes makes it a safe choice for areas exposed to water.
Hody Pink Granite represents an investment in durability and timeless aesthetics. Its color does not fade under prolonged exposure to UV rays or adverse weather conditions, maintaining its distinctive character for decades. With minimal maintenance using pH-neutral cleaners and periodic penetrating sealants, this Egyptian granite retains its original appearance without the need for complex treatments. Available in modular sizes ranging from 30×30 cm to 60×120 cm and thicknesses of 1.8, 2, and 3 cm, it adapts to designs of any scale, from intimate residential projects to large-scale commercial developments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you buy
No. Its color comes from mineral pigmentation in the crystalline structure, highly stable to UV rays. It does not fade with sun exposure or rain under normal conditions.
For residential interiors 1.8-2 cm; commercial or high traffic minimum 2 cm; exterior or heavy loads 3 cm. Formats ≥ 60×60 cm require 2 or 3 cm to avoid breakage.
Yes, it is resistant to frost and chlorinated water. Only rough finishes (Flamed, Bushhammered, Sandblasted R11+) are suitable. Polished finish creates a risk of falling in wet areas.
Not mandatory but highly recommended. At 0.09% absorption it is very low porosity, but rough unsealed finishes can accumulate oils and stains. A penetrating impregnating agent prolongs service life.
1.8 cm: ~47.5 kg/m²; 2 cm: ~52.8 kg/m²; 3 cm: ~79.1 kg/m². Check the bearing capacity of the substrate, especially on raised floors.
Flexible polymer modified mortar C2TE S1 for all uses. For formats ≥ 40×60 cm use highly flexible C2TE S2. Always use white or light gray adhesive.
High traffic residential and commercial interior flooring, façade cladding, public spaces, rough finished pool copings, stairs and exterior landscaping.
Polished for elegant interiors; Matte/Brushed for contemporary warmth; Flamed/Buffed/Sanded (R11-R12) for slip-resistant safety in wet exteriors and swimming pools.
Neutral pH cleaners (6-8) for all finishes. Penetrating impregnating sealer every 12-24 months depending on finish. Avoid acids, bleach and abrasive products.
Quarried in the Aswan region of Egypt, an area historically renowned for the quality of its granite quarries. It is a commercial grade A igneous stone.
